September Volunteer Event!!

Please join us on Sunday, September 23 from 3-5 PM for a tour of the Battle for the Peach Orchard with Licensed Battlefield Guide Jim Miller. We will be walking to the Trostle Barn, following in the footsteps of Barksdale's attacking Brigade and the retreat of Sickles 3rd Corps, with special attention to one of the Union Regiments that contained one of Jim's ancestors.
Lots of stories & lots of fun
You can sign up for this tour at the Membership Services Desk; cost is $5 per person and we will meet at the Peach Orchard 2:45PM on the 23rd.

Caroline's Tea!!

Our next 'Caroline's Tea" will be on Saturday August 25th from 1-3 adjacent to the Rupp House. These events have been highly successful this year and this one promises to be as well. Author Cindy Small will be doing a presentation on Jenny Wade; the only civilian who lost her life at Gettysburg.






Upcoming Events!!

Licensed Battlefield Guide Dave Hamacher will be doing a program on "The Cavalry at Gettysburg"  Sunday August 19th from 3-5PM at the Ford Education Center located at the Museum & Visitors Center
This presentation is open to ALL Gettysburg Volunteers and their guests. The cost is $5 per person and a sign-up sheet is available at the Membership Services Desk (Hope to see you there)

Summer Picnic and other stuff

Don't forget to sign up for our employee summer picnic- Friday, Aug 10th at the MVC (ranger site 3) good food, good music, good times!  Ask Peg Roos or Sheri Grim for more info and to sign up!

Also, we still need a few volunteers to help with Caroline's Tea  this Saturday, July 21. Anyone interested????  Check the schedule for all openings!
